At the gateway to welcoming Howick Village stands a new sign displaying the Howick 175 logo, a motto and our website address.
Jim Donald, the former local elected representative of the Howick community and long-time Howick Village Town Crier, put up the sign recently to draw people’s attention to Howick’s 175th anniversary year in 2022.
The words Serve With Good Will are shown on the sign, a philosophy Donald and former popular Mayor of Howick Morrin Cooper know a lot about, having lead and served their eastern communities for decades.
When local events are to be held next year, a small sign will be inserted where the Serve With Good Will sign is displayed, drawing attention to them.
